Fall In Vancouver

It’s official: fall is here. While the days are colder and inevitably rainier, Vancouver is still a beautiful city to visit and explore throughout this season. To ensure you’re properly prepared, our Vancouver Extended Stay team has created the ultimate Fall In Vancouver guide:

What To Pack

The first thing to consider when packing for your Vancouver trip is the weather. Although it’s not likely to rain everyday (don’t quote us on that), it’s good to come prepared with rain boots, an umbrella, and a warm waterproof jacket. Don’t forget your running shoes for the rain-less days, perfect for walks on the seawall and through Stanley Park.

Planning Your Itinerary

Although swimming at Kits Beach won’t be on the agenda, there are still many family-friendly events taking place in and around the city to enjoy, including:

  • Saturday Farmers Markets: Locate the market closest to you and enjoy a day of discovering everything from fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and eggs, to craft beer and wine, to handmade crafts.
  • Harvest Season at Alder Acres: Gather the family for what’s guaranteed to be a fun-filled fall afternoon. Pick out pumpkins, feed the many animals, and enjoy a hayride!
  • Canucks Game: Cheer on the Vancouver Canucks at one of their home games with thousands of other fans.
  • Stanley Park Ghost Train: Of course, there are many Halloween themed outings as well, including this ever popular event at Stanley Park. Open to all ages, you’ll enjoy a train ride through the park, haunted maze, arts and crafts, and a pumpkin patch.
