Winter Adventures Around Vancouver Extended Stay

So you’ve found yourself in Vancouver in the middle of winter. Now what? There is no shortage of powdery slopes around Vancouver Extended Stay, and our team has put together our favourite ski spots located around the city!

Grouse Mountain

From skiing and snowboarding, to snowshoeing and mountain-top skating, Grouse Mountain is the perfect spot for a quick snow fix without straying too far from the city. Even better, the mountain stays open for night skiing, with 15 different runs remaining opening and well-lit until 10pm. In total, there are 33 runs with 4 different chair lifts, clocking at 1,200 meters above sea level.

Mount Seymour

Mount Seymour makes for the perfect day trip, only located 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver! The family owned and operated ski area is a fan-favourite for passionate skiers and snowboarders across the lower mainland. The ski area’s 80 hectares of terrain feature gentle slopes for beginners, as well as naturally contoured slopes, tree runs and terrain parks for advanced skiers and snowboarders. No plans to ski? You can always count on Mount Seymour for family-fun tobogganing and snow tubing!

Cypress Mountain:

If you want the greatest variety of terrain close to Vancouver, this is where you’ll want to head! Cypress Mountain is a little farther from the city, though not by much. For skiers of all abilities, their Cross Country Trails provide access to 19 kilometers of well-marked trails. From green (easy) to blue and black (intermediate and advanced), there is something for everyone!
