We’ve waited all year to say that it’s officially summer! To help you make the most of your time soaking up the sun, we’ve curated a list of our top three must-visit beaches for which our city is known. From paddleboarding in the ocean to relaxing on the sand with a picturesque view, add these to your Vancouver bucket list. 

English Bay Beach

English Bay Beach, located just a 20-minute walk from our suites, is known for its stunning views of the Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains as well as its beautiful sunsets. The beach offers amenities such as concession stands, volleyball courts, and shaded seating areas, with lifeguards on duty during the summer. Nearby, Denman Street provides a variety of cafes, restaurants, and shops — perfect for packing a beach picnic.

Kitsilano Beach

Just over the Burrard Street Bridge is Kits beach. This is a local favourite for its stunning city skyline and North Shore Mountain views. The beach has amenities like concession stands, a restaurant, picnic tables, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, and beach volleyball courts.

Jericho Beach

This beach offers a serene and quiet escape, with its sandy shores and stunning views. It also has picnic areas, playgrounds, and concession stands. Popular for water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking, it’s home to the Jericho Sailing Centre, which provides rental facilities and lessons.
