Our response to COVID-19

Dear Guests,

Last Updated: August 5, 2020

Since the announcement of the state of emergency in BC in March 2020, Vancouver Extended Stay has taken extra steps to help minimize risk of any Coronavirus infections at Vancouver Extended Stay.

At this time, as British Columbia has entered Phase 3 of its Restart Plan, Vancouver Extended Stay is slowly moving towards relaxing some of the strict rules and policies put in place back in March 2020. At the same time we remain committed to operating in a safe manner to protect health and safety of our guests and our staff.

As of August 5, 2020 the following policies remain in place:

Visiting our Guest Services and Accounting offices

Guest Services and Accounting offices are now open to the public. We do ask all guests to continue respecting social distancing rules and please consider contacting our office via phone or email and visit in person only when necessary.

To contact our Guest Services Office please call 604-891-6153 or email us at guestservices@vancouverextendedstay.com

To contact our Accounting Office please call 604-891-6150 or email us at billing@vancouverextendedstay.com

Important reminder to arriving guests:
If you are required to quarantine for 14 days after your arrival, you must follow the Mandatory Quarantine rules posted on the official website of the Government of Canada and with exception of visiting our offices for the purpose of checking in, please refrain from visiting our offices in person until your quarantine period is over. If you need our assistance during the quarantine period, please contact us by phone or email.

Temporary changes to our operations

Housekeeping

We have now resumed our housekeeping services to all guests. However, in order to ensure that social distancing rules are in place at all times, housekeepers will not be able to clean the apartment if the guests are in the unit. We ask that guests make appropriate arrangements on the scheduled housekeeping days not to be in the apartment while the housekeepers are working in their suites. If it happens that you are in the apartment and not able to leave when the housekeeper arrives, the housekeeper ask if there is more convenient time for you to allow for housekeeping and will attempt to arrive at such later time.

If you experience any kind of cold of flue-like symptoms, please contact our office immediately via phone at 604-891-6153 or via email at guestservices@vancouverextendedstay.com so we can reschedule the visit to your suite for a later date.

Maintenance and repairs

Vancouver Extended Stay suites are always maintained at the highest standard and we aim to perform any repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible, in order to minimize the inconvenience to our guests and to ensure that guest fully enjoy the stay in their units.
During the difficult times, however, while social distancing rules are in place, we may postpone non-essential repairs and schedule the work after the guest’s check-out.

If you experience any kind of cold of flue-like symptoms, please contact our office immediately via phone at 604-891-6153 or via email at guestservices@vancouverextendedstay.com so we can reschedule the visit to your suite for a later date.

Additional procedures implemented

There are additional procedures we are introducing, to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus. These include:

If the unfortunate happens…

Despite all best efforts, should you contract an infection or needed to self isolate, and the period of the quarantine extend beyond your scheduled check-out date,  our Sales and Reservation department will make every possible effort to move any arriving guests to another apartment in order to allow you to complete the quarantine as recommended by your health professional. Any extension beyond the originally scheduled check-out date would be at the same rate as the rest of the stay.
