Our response to COVID-19
Last Updated: July 22, 2022
As of date of this update, we have largely resumed all services. We remain committed to enhanced cleaning and taking extra health and safety precautions to ensure safe and comfort to our guests and our staff.
Kindly familiarize yourself with the below policies and requirements which are currently in effect.
Visiting our Guest Services and Accounting offices
Guest Services and Accounting offices are now open to the public. We do ask all guests to continue respecting social distancing rules as much as possible. Wearing masks at this time are optional.
Important reminder to arriving guests:
If you are required to quarantine for 14 days after your arrival, you must follow the Mandatory Quarantine rules posted on the official website of the Government of Canada and with exception of visiting our offices for the purpose of checking in, please refrain from visiting our offices in person until your quarantine period is over. If you need our assistance during the quarantine period, please contact us by phone or email.
Temporary changes to our operations
Housekeeping
We have now resumed our housekeeping services to all guests. Housekeeping staff will not require that you leave the apartments during the housekeeping. However, Guest Services will continue to provide you with the housekeeping schedule in advance, so you can make appropriate arrangements should you not wish to be present during the housekeeping.
If you experience any kind of cold of flue-like symptoms, please contact our office immediately via phone at 604-891-6153 or via email at guestservices@vancouverextendedstay.com so we can reschedule the visit to your suite for a later date.
Additional procedures implemented
There are additional procedures we have implemented which continue to remain in place. These include:
- Our dedicated and thorough housekeeping team takes extra time to ensure the apartment is properly cleaned and disinfected for the arriving guests. Particular attention is paid to frequently touched areas and surfaces, including door handles, cabinet handles, light switches and remotes.
- All employees are being asked to wash their hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water
- For the safety of guests and employees, all offices have been equipped with plexi glass guards
- Any employee with even the slightest cold or flue-like symptoms will not be allowed to start their shift and will be asked to return and stay home until they recover
If the unfortunate happens…
Despite all best efforts, should you contract an infection or needed to self isolate, and the period of the quarantine extend beyond your scheduled check-out date, our Sales and Reservation department will make every possible effort to move any arriving guests to another apartment in order to allow you to complete the quarantine as recommended by your health professional. Any extension beyond the originally scheduled check-out date would be at the same rate as during the period immediately preceding the extension.
